Thank you for joining another episode of The ProFiles Podcast! Today's edition takes a unique turn from the usual format.
In a world dominated by the attention economy, where external pressures and social media dictate our actions, we often believe that packing our lives with constant activity is the key to fulfillment. However, I challenge this assumption. In this episode, I share my reflections on this prevalent mindset, drawing from academic literature that supports my perspective.
Tune in as I explore the concept of the active pursuit of doing nothing and its implications for our lives. I've crafted a short piece that I hope sparks contemplation about where you direct your attention and, ultimately, how you live your life. Let's embark on this journey of introspection together!

Monday Dec 18, 2023
Welcome to a special edition of the Profiles Podcast! While I usually bring you insightful interviews with experts on their career journeys, today's episode takes a different approach. Think of it as a "wisdom wrap-up," but don't let that mislead you—this installment is a unique deep dive into a single, crucial topic: deep listening. As we kick off the new year, I'm experimenting with shorter, more focused episodes that hone in on specific aspects of achieving success. In this episode, we explore the art of listening, shedding light on a common pitfall—listening to respond instead of truly understanding. Often, in our conversations, our minds are preoccupied with crafting our next response, and this habit can hinder genuine understanding.Join me on this journey of reflection and discovery as we unravel the importance of deep listening. If you find value in this episode, don't hesitate to share it with someone who could benefit. Let's start the year with a commitment to intentional and meaningful conversations.
