Today I’m so lucky to introduce a decent golfer and an incredible human, Brice Englert. He is the Founder and CEO of Trade Pending—a company that simplifies the automotive buying process—that boasts an employee count of >150 and that generates an estimated annual revenue of $40 Million. Brice went to Vanderbilt University for his undergrad, served in the US Air Force, then moved into various positions in the business world before founding his company in 2015. You may notice Brice’s voice is strikingly similar to Ted Lasso, and I can assure you that he looks the part as well! Anyways I really hope you enjoy this conversation with the super knowledgable Brice Englert!

Thank you for joining another episode of The ProFiles Podcast! Today's edition takes a unique turn from the usual format.
In a world dominated by the attention economy, where external pressures and social media dictate our actions, we often believe that packing our lives with constant activity is the key to fulfillment. However, I challenge this assumption. In this episode, I share my reflections on this prevalent mindset, drawing from academic literature that supports my perspective.
Tune in as I explore the concept of the active pursuit of doing nothing and its implications for our lives. I've crafted a short piece that I hope sparks contemplation about where you direct your attention and, ultimately, how you live your life. Let's embark on this journey of introspection together!

Wisdom Wrap-Up: Deep Listening
Monday Dec 18, 2023
Monday Dec 18, 2023
Welcome to a special edition of the Profiles Podcast! While I usually bring you insightful interviews with experts on their career journeys, today's episode takes a different approach. Think of it as a "wisdom wrap-up," but don't let that mislead you—this installment is a unique deep dive into a single, crucial topic: deep listening. As we kick off the new year, I'm experimenting with shorter, more focused episodes that hone in on specific aspects of achieving success. In this episode, we explore the art of listening, shedding light on a common pitfall—listening to respond instead of truly understanding. Often, in our conversations, our minds are preoccupied with crafting our next response, and this habit can hinder genuine understanding.Join me on this journey of reflection and discovery as we unravel the importance of deep listening. If you find value in this episode, don't hesitate to share it with someone who could benefit. Let's start the year with a commitment to intentional and meaningful conversations.

I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life, so I decided to take action.
I launched “The ProFiles Podcast” in January 2023 to document my journey of learning the WHAT, HOW, and WHY of success. It’s been incredible to speak and engage with industry titans, leader, and trailblazers of todays world to share what I’ve learned with the people who need it most.
Now, I think I have an answer to the question that started it all: “What do I want to do when I grow up?” Right now I’m passionate about business, but I am trying to preserve optionality for as long as possible.
I'm a high schooler at St. Stephen's in Austin, Texas.
I am a competitive golfer, SPC State champion, 2 time winner on the Srixon Prestige Tour, and member of the Legends and TJGT junior golf tours.
I currently serve on Student Government, the Athletic Council, the Student Support Network, the Philanthropy Committee, Leadership Committee, and Happiness Committee.
I’m the Founder and President of the Business and Entrepreneurship Club.
